How to Create a New User

Adding a user to SnapTracker is a simple process.  Security access is assigned by user.  Security access is first established using the User screen to create each user.

This post outlines the process involved in creating a new user in SnapTracker.

Step-by-step instruction

From the left navigation bar on the left, select Utilities, User Setup.

From the main part of the screen, select User, and the User screen displays.

Here is where you can create a new User.

Note that boxes with red triangle on it are mandatory and must be filled out.

In the Enter a User box, enter the user name. This is the user name for SnapTracker Sign In.

In the Name box, enter the full name.

In the Password box, enter a unique Password. This is the password for SnapTracker Sign In.

Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password box. Set up the Maximum Tries for password-entering, and the Lockout Time (in mins.) and Session TimeOut.

In the Email Address box, enter the user’s email address.

In the Company Code Access field, select Single or Multiple depending on whether the user should have access to one or multiple Company in SnapTracker.

From the User Type drop-down selection box, you may choose from one of the following:

Internet User – refers to general, non-administrative users.

Procurement User – refers to users who will be accessing SnapTracker via procurement system punch- out.

Administrator – usually refers to user given administrative access at the Customer level.

System Administrator – refers to user given administrative access at the System level.

Depending on whether the user should be able to Update Profile, choose Yes or No.

Click Create. The user is now created.

Did you know?

Once the user is set up, you can proceed to assign specific Menus and Customers.

For Asset Management users, you may also set up the user’s Building Access.

For E-Commerce user, you will also need to set up the user for shopping.
