KITS Custom Swatches [WIN10]

The new update for KITS allows users to upload COM swatches using our new Upload Custom
Swatch feature.

To update your KITS App, click here and follow the prompts.

To access the new feature, add an item or open the edit item menu for an already existing item in
your project. When you click to view the options tab to specify the new Custom Swatch button will be available when you select the undecided option.

When uploading your custom swatch, you can customize the rotation, pattern repeat and scale of the swatch. There is a preview window of the custom swatch applied to the furniture item selected that can be rotated in view.

Once you are satisfied with your swatch customization, click to Apply Swatch. You will save the changes made to the swatch, and you will be able to use that swatch with the customizations for your other items.

When you go to view the item, the fabric option will say undecided, but the graphic will be applied. To add a note for the COM, you can use Freeforms or our add/edit item tagging features.

Once the project is completed and validated, you can render and share with your client.

Custom swatches that are assigned to the project will sync to the cloud when a user syncs their projects. When a custom swatch is uploaded, it will get copied to a folder called COM Swatches found in the KITS Mobile folder in your pictures.

When sharing a project with custom swatches:

KITS Project Share
When you share your project via KITS Project share with another KITS user, the custom swatch will
also export with the project share.

DWG/SIF Export
When exporting your project via DWG/SIF Export, the custom swatch will not be exported in the .zip
folder.

DWG/SIF Import
When importing a project with COM swatches (swatches not found in KITS), the COM will appear in
grey, however, the text option and finish selected will include the correct specification.
