Downgrading Your PDA’S SnapTracker PPC Application to the SIF-Generated Version

This article outlines the steps involved in downgrading the PPC software on your PDA.

Before beginning the downgrade process, please ensure you have the following hardware and software available.

  • PDA
  • Docking Station connected to a Power outlet
  • A Flash Drive (also known as a “Jump Drive”, “Thumb Drive”, “USB Stick” etc.)
  • A copy of the SIF-generated PPC (Contact SnapTracker Support)

You can continue to upload batches via Windows Mobile Device Center or Wi-Fi to your SnapTracker Database until December 31st, 2025.

*Note: KiSP Inc. will no longer be supporting the following devices as per the scheduled outline below. If you require assistance with downgrading your device, please contact Technical Support before the KiSP End of Life Support Date.

Uploading Batches to SnapTracker

After you have completed your scanning/inventory routines and need to upload the batch to SnapTracker follow the steps outlined below.

On your PDA Device

On Your Computer

  1. Insert the Flash Drive into a USB Port on your computer.
  2. Open a web browser and sign into the SnapTracker web interface.
  3. From the Left Navigation select PDA Processing>Process Batch. The Process Batch screen displays.
  4. On the Process Batch Screen, click Upload File. The Search Upload Scanner screen displays.
  5. Click Choose File.
  6. Browse to the Flash Drive and select the SIF generated file.
  7. Click Upload File Now.

The Search Upload Scanner screen closes, and a batch is generated.

You can choose to continue working with the batch within the SnapTracker web interface or sign out of the application.
