How to Create Cost Centers
Capturing Cost Center numbers is optional. If a client wishes to track costs associated with furniture assets separately by department, division or by other type of organizational structure, you can set up and assign cost center numbers that correspond to the client’s infrastructure.
This post outlines the process for creating Cost Centers in SnapTracker.
Step-by-step instructions
From the left navigation, select Setup>Customer Setup.
The Customer Setup screen displays.
Select Cost Center.

The Cost Center screen displays.
- From the Select a Customer drop down, select the Customer.
- In the Enter a Cost Center text box, type in the Cost Center code for the Customer. The character limit is 50 characters.
- In the Name text boxes, enter the name of the Cost Center. You may also want to use them to add a description.
- Click Create.
The Cost Center is created.
