How to Set Up a Customer for Shopping

When a Customer has Shopping enabled, the ability to create requisitions is potentially available to users that have access to that Customer. Before individual users have access to Shopping, we need to set up the User’s “shopping rights” at the User level.

  • Enable Approval – Approval means after the user check out a cart, the cart is routed to an approver before an order is create. Depending on whether the user requires approval, select Yes or No. If Yes, choose a user as Default Approver
  • Review Cart – If enabled, carts will be routed to a dealer for review before the cart is completely checked out by a user.  This enables the dealer to add additional charges, such as labor, tax, or delivery and installation, so that when a user completes a final check-out, these costs are included with the order.
  • If answer Yes to Review Cart, choose a user as default reviewer under Send Carts To.
  • Reserve Shopping Cart Automatically – Depending on whether the Customer needs to enable (some of its) Users to automatically reserve a cart, select Yes / No. Note that in order to enable a user to reserve cart automatically, the feature also needs to be set up at the User level.

Click “Update” to complete the Customer Shopping Setup.
