How to Specify a Standard in KiTS

Users with a KiTS license have the option to specify Standards in KiTS after having created the Standards in SnapTracker.

KiTS is a web-based furniture specification tool. You can use it to specify product and return the information (e.g. pricing, discounting, custom descriptions and images) to SnapTracker.

This tutorial post outlines the process on how to specify a Standard using KiTS.

Note:

KiTS is accessible for Users with a KiTS license using the Standard Product screen.

Before proceeding, ensure you are in the Standard Product screen, and you have a Standard created and selected. KiTS can also be used with Standards created using the Sif Import screen, especially for generating images for the Standards in addition to updating pricing, options and finishes.

Step-by-step instruction

Click Go to KiTS at the bottom of Standard Setup screen.

A new window opens with the KiTS Item Specification page. From here you can specify the Standard.

Using the selection boxes on the right-hand side of the screen, you can specify the options and finishes within the predefined structure in KiTS.

You may also assign Discount %, add Custom Description and other product information using the options on the left-hand side of the screen.

After you finish, click “Save back to SnapTracker” on the bottom of the page.

The information for the item is returned to SnapTracker.

To see the changes within the Standard Product screen, select the Standard, click Get Record and Detail, the Product Detail page displays. Here you can see the specified Standard, with a rendered image and specified options and finishes from KiTS.

Tips

If KiTS cannot locate the Standard’s Catalog No., you will be led to a default Search screen so that you can search for the product within KiTS.  To do so, you can either search by a Keyword, Phrase or Style Number, or by using the Manufacturer Catalog.
