How to Set Up Standard Classes

Standard Classes sort products into groups of similar items.  Think of it as “product type” or “product category”.

This post outlines the steps involved in creating Standard Classes in SnapTracker.

Step-by-step instructions

From the left navigation, select Setup>Standard Setup.

The Standard Setup screen displays.

Select Standard Class.

The Standard Class Info screen displays.

This is where you can create, delete and update Standard Classes.

  1. From the Select a Customer drop-down box in the top right corner, choose the correct Customer Number.
  2. In the Enter a Standard Class text box, type in the name of a Standard Class.
  3. In the Description text boxes, enter a description.
  4. Click Create.

The Standard Class is created.

Tips

Instead of creating Standard Classes for each Customer, use the Copy From button to copy Standard Classes from one Customer to another. You can also edit or delete them.

Once the Standard Classes are created, you can proceed to create Standards for the specific product and assign Standard Classes to the Standards.
